- What is AiVII?
- AiVII is a provider management system for UK funded training providers and colleges. It wraps around the LMS or e-portfolio you engage learners with, covering onboarding, curriculum, sampling, observations, feedback, funding, compliance, Ofsted readiness, governance and safeguarding. It is what you use to run the provision, rather than to deliver it.
- What is the difference between a provider management system and a learner management system?
- A learner management system (LMS) is the engine a provider engages learners with, where learners access content, submit work and record progress. A provider management system runs the organisation around that: funding and forecasting, quality assurance, sampling and observations, compliance, inspection readiness, governance and safeguarding. The two are complementary, not alternatives.
- Is AiVII an LMS or an e-portfolio?
- No. AiVII is not an LMS, an e-portfolio or an MIS, and it is not where learners are engaged or do their work. That stays in the system you already run. AiVII wraps around it to run the provision.
- Which systems does AiVII integrate with?
- AiVII has direct data integration with Bud, Aptem and OneFile, syncing in real time rather than by nightly batch, with a BUD-native data path available for BUD tenants. Other systems can be supported on request.
- Do we have to replace anything to adopt AiVII?
- No. There is no rip-and-replace. Because AiVII reads from your existing systems rather than replacing them, your MIS stays tied to your funding submissions and your e-portfolio stays tied to awarding body requirements, exactly as now.
- Who in a provider actually uses AiVII?
- Access is role-aware and multi-tenant, so what someone sees depends on their role. In practice it spans senior leadership and governance, quality and compliance teams, operations and delivery managers, skills coaches, and finance.
