- What is the Achieve, Belong, Thrive framework?
- Achieve, Belong, Thrive is the set of principles introduced in the November 2025 Ofsted inspection framework, replacing the previous Education Inspection Framework structure. Inspection evidence is organised around whether learners achieve, whether they belong, and whether they thrive. AiVII tags every learning walk, case sample, conversation and work scrutiny to one or more of these principles.
- What is a SEF and does AiVII help build one?
- A Self Evaluation Form (SEF) is a provider's own honest assessment of its quality of provision, used as the starting point for inspection conversations. AiVII builds the SEF by selecting current and target outcomes, answering probing questions and attaching evidence, with draft, in review and approved states tracked per academic year.
- What is case sampling and why does Ofsted use it?
- Case sampling means reviewing a selected group of learners in depth rather than looking at aggregate figures. Inspectors typically sample learners with additional needs, disadvantaged learners and those needing additional support, then compare their experience against learners without those characteristics. AiVII replicates that method so you see what an inspector would see.
- How far in advance should Ofsted preparation start?
- Evidence built only in the weeks before a call tends to read as a snapshot rather than a story. AiVII is designed around continuous readiness, regular learning walks, case samples and conversations that keep a living evidence library current, so the position on any given day is already defensible.
- Does AiVII replace our delivery or e-portfolio systems?
- No. AiVII is a provider management system, not a learner management system. It wraps around the tools you engage learners with and adds inspection readiness around them. Your existing e-portfolio, MIS and delivery tooling stay in place.
